Synopsis
Idols are shooting stars.Idols are fairy tale princesses.At least, that's what professional idol lover Michi Hidaka believes.In a time of uncertainty, idols continue to move forwards. Pursuing a more and more passionate Aikatsu, they continue to give dreams to the masses. Despite the tears, despite the pain...One day, a member of Michi's favourite unit starts scouting for idols to produce. The "Metamorphosis Project", designed to help a crumbling agency blossom once again.And so, searching for something, Michi follows that white rabbit into wonderland...
Trigger Warnings
Unlike canon Aikatsu, Wonder tackles some heavier topics. There is nothing explicit, not anything too heavy, but caution surrounding these areas is advised.This page may be updated as the story progresses. Please take care!Death: Death and grief is a major theme within the story. No deaths are shown on screen, but it's discussed frequently.Mental Health: This is also shown throughout the story. Characters have self deprecating thoughts, experience low mood and anxiety.Abuse: Varying types, from bullying to parental abuse. Four of the main characters have had neglectful parents in some form, ranging from abscence to physical abuse.Bigotry: Never outright said, but implied to be behind some minor character's actions. This includes ableism (autism specifically), racism and specifically misogyny. Adding onto the latter point, as the characters are idols there are scenes of objectification. There is nothing explicitly sexual shown.Injury: They tend to be mild, such as bruising or at most bleeding. There is mention of a broken bone at one point, but this is not shown until it's very nearly completely healed.Hospital Scenes: There are multiple of these, but again, nothing graphic is shown.One of the characters experiences frequent fainting spells, and another has a weak constitution that leaves her vulnerable to illness.

Do I have to watch Aikatsu before reading this?
No, you do not! At the end of every chapter, there is a short comic explaining parts of the universe and how it works.
(However, I do recommend!!)Do I have to read Crescent before reading this?
Aikatsu Crescent is my previous Aikatsu fanseries, set in the same universe as Wonder. It's set approximately 25-30 years before, and characters from it will appear in Wonder as minor roles. Reading Crescent beforehand will likely enhance your enjoyment! However, it is once again not required. It's old and was written whilst I was a teenager, and therefore is not the best nor reflective of my current skills or viewpoints.What's the upload schedule?
Currently, it's slated to begin uploading in June 2025. From there, a new chapter will be posted every four weeks. Second parts of a chapter will be posted two weeks later rather than four. The prologue will all be posted at once.
This schedule may change, as I am a busy person.Why is it called sexy type?
The four types (cute, cool, pop qnd sexy) originate from canon Aikatsu. Within canon, it's portrayed as glamourous and maybe mature, but nothing inappropriate. I believe this is a case of them misusing a loan word!I would be up to subsituting it with another word, but have yet to find an alternative that is as snappy and catchy as the canon type names.Can I make fanart/fanfiction?
